My great uncle, Ed Curtis (1885-1951) of Stafford, Monroe County, Ohio. This old road was used from 1830 to 1865, as an Underground Railroad route leading into Stafford, Monroe County, Ohio.

In 1951 on this road, Ed Curtis was dragged by a runaway horse, and later that day died from the injuries. I was with him when this accident occurred.
